Any member of our staff (Claudia, Christina, and Eric), can help you make a selection. We recommend that our customers be measured one week in advance. Out of town customers may be measured at any tuxedo store location, and the measurements emailed or faxed to us. Our convenient location to Yosemite National Park allows for easy pick up on the way to Yosemite and drop off on the way back.

| Fremont House History
George Radanovich, after serving in World War 11 moved to Mariposa in 1947. He worked nine years for his brother who owned the Mariposa Drug Co. In 1956 he saw that Mariposa needed a clothing and shoe store and opened one on Main Street. Mariposa was a small town. Many people thought he would not be successful, and sometimes I am certain he felt the same, but he was very determined to succeed. His darkest day was the day he only sold a pair of socks and the customer (a rancher from Mariposa) refused to pay the sales tax. He just gave him the socks. That same day he found out his wife was stricken with polio. They had five children, and mom could not walk. A year later she was better, George moved down the street to the same location we are in today. Three more children were added and the family did very well. You could say that his success was because he loved people. Since 1969, we have been running the store just like him —carrying the best in clothing, boots, and shoes. |
