As resident of Yosemite National park and Mariposa County, and as a photographer in Yosemite, he is involved in all aspects of photography. With over 20 years of experience leading the "Yosemite Sunrise Photo Workshops", added to weddings, books, postcards, calendars, photo journalism, family portraits, and now internet digital photography, Dan has the experience to photograph your event.

As you might imagine, living in Yosemite and the Sierras has enabled him to locate and identify exceptionally wonderful photo opportunities in, and around Yosemite, and more specifically near the Yosemite Chapel, and Ahwahnee Hotel.

Dan is an "Environmental Photographer" — he always tries to include some part of the natural environment in your photos. Yosemite Falls and Half Dome are just two of the many dramatic backdrops that may be available for your wedding portraits.

Dan is experienced in all formats of photography, and can provide all services, including small and medium format film, and the latest in digital photography.

"Although some photographers are now using digital, I find digital to be too harsh for most weddings. I prefer using medium format cameras because big film is still the gold standard for archival photographs, and your wedding photos should last for generations

I capture weddings on big film then at the time of processing, I have the negatives scanned; therefore, I end up with the best of both worlds, a big negative to print from, and a digital file to enable your event to be added to the internet for viewing (Password protected).
